So… where did we stop? Exactly we were on the Road
With all those other cars in Sequoia national park, there was some roadwork which led to motorcades in the national park, I had to take a picture, to give you a feeling how f****** big this national park is.
#big?So to give you a feeling of Sequoia it is 1634 in square kilometers, compared, Vorarlberg has 2600 square Kilometers, so if you added Wien 414 square Kilometers and another 5 times Graz 127 you’ll have Sequoia.
Sequoia is by the way not the biggest national Park, there’s Yosemite(3027km), Death Valley (13628), and of course Sierra Nevada(102594 — Österreich 83879).
So there they are, the big trees. Finally we found them.
I clearly would have needed another lens to capture those trees, if there’s a lens I could use with an anlogue Camera. But you can get a feeling as there’re some people standing in front of the tree.
Here’s fun fact’s about Sequoia Trees, they are immune to wildfires, at least kind of. There’re wildfiremarks on some of the old trees that date back several hundred years.
Okay this is like the best I could do being next to General Sherman, no zoom used, this Tree is just enormous!
As I’m aware that there’re some games reading this you might remember Seven Days to die, where you could find honey in this kind of trees.
Back on topic, here’s some further landscape and this is the kind of landscape I saw a lot throughout California. The shapes were en vouge when california was done.
This says we lived here peacefully for generations then white man came and slaughtered us.
When we came there we expected a real bigass river to be there as it was huge on google maps as well as on garmin. But this is what we ended up to see. Seems like the water is needed somewhere else, or maybe it’s only big in spring time. How should we know…
We are clearly on the road again, while this truck is not going to be on the road again, ever.
I feel some real important parts are missing.
So we were in the middle of nowhere right?
We felt kind of uncomfortable out there without any security cameras looking on us until we found this sign. At least I felt a lot safer from then on.
More or less across the street we saw this bicycle as a very silent witness of this fire.
I was so surprised to see this. First of all, this looked not like a wildfire, it was way to small, there’s nobody living out there and it would take some time to get a Fire Department to start fighting a fire here. But what I liked more was the trees, they did not get killed by the fire. Pretty impressive, at least to me
